Obi-Wan Kenobi – Vendredi May 27
Among the most anticipated novelties on the platform, Obi-Wan Kenobi is Lucasfilm’s third original series in the Star Wars universe, after The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The famous Jedi Knight will once again be played by Ewan McGregor in these new adventures that take place ten years after the events of Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Fifteen years after their last collaboration, this series also marks the big reunion between the 51-year-old actor and his co-star Hayden Christensen, who will don the Darth Vader costume. While fan excitement is running high, they’ll still have to wait until Friday, May 27 to find out not one, but two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Miss Marvel – Wednesday June 8
The MCU is about to welcome a new superheroine. Following WandaVision, Loki, and most recently Moon Knight, Disney+ presents its sixth original series from Marvel Studios titled Miss Marvel. The story of Kamala Khan, a teenager of Muslim faith and a great fan of superheroes (especially Captain Marvel), who will discover cosmic superpowers…
The young actress Iman Vellani is offered her first role here, and no less important. Alongside Aramis Knight (Runt), Zenobia Shroff (The Affair) and Matt Lintz (The Walking Dead), she joins the long list of stars of the Marvel Universe. She will also opposite Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson in the movie The Marvels, which is expected in theaters in 2023.
Oussekine – Coming Soon
After Week-end Family and Para//èles, Disney+ puts the spotlight on a new original French series that shouldn’t go unnoticed. Presented at the end of the latest Series Mania festival, Oussekine returns in four episodes to the tragic events of December 5, 1986 that led to the death of student Malik Oussekine (Sayyid El Alami).
The heartbreaking series also looks at the dramatic consequences of his death for his family: his mother Aïcha (Hiam Abbass), his brothers Ben Amar (Malek Lamraoui) and Mohamed (Tewfik Jallab), and his sisters Fatna (Naidra Ayadi) and Sarah (Mouna Soualem). ), all in search of truth and justice. Exclusive to the platform, the new original series Single Drunk Female addresses the issues of addiction and sobriety among young people with humor and sincerity. Twenty-something Samantha Fink (Sofia Black-D’Elia) realizes she has a drinking problem after an accident that nearly killed her.
Back from rehabilitation, the young woman has to face her day to day surrounded by the temptations that once led her to drink and her past that resurfaces. But these tests could well allow her to discover the best of herself. By God’s Order – Coming Soon
Created, written, produced and directed by Dustin Lance Black (2009 Oscar winner for Best Screenplay for Harvey Milk), the original By God’s Order miniseries stars Andrew Garfield as Mormon Inspector Jeb Pyre. The man is in charge of a tragic case: the murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby in a residential suburb of Salt Lake City in 1984.
Inspired by true events, this investigation will upset Jeb Pyre and cause him to question his faith. Andrew Garfield, whom viewers recently saw in Through the Eyes of Tammy Faye, stars alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sam Worthington, Wyatt Russell and Denise Gough in this drama adapted from Jon Krakauer’s bestseller.
